Slip and Fall at an Indiana casino?

Posted by Guy DiMartino | Jan 25, 2015 | 0 Comments

Your day started off great. You  spent your day at the Lighthouse Mall and then you checked into the Blue Chip Casino.  You had a nice dinner and Then Everything Changed In An Instant. That was the moment that you tripped or slipped, and fell. Your spouse or friends may have rushed to your side. You were embarrassed and your friends try to help you up and check your injuries, but was that the right thing to do?

After a fall at an Indiana casino, it is important to:

  • Watch what you say. We know that you're embarrassed and may be in such but Do Not apologize or speculate about the cause of the accident.
  • Take pictures of the accident scene. Did you trip over something on the deck? Was there a slippery condition that caused your fall? Take pictures of the condition that made you fall.
  • Allow yourself to be checked out. Not all injuries are immediately apparent. It is important to have an exam by a doctor so a timely and accurate diagnosis can be made.
  • Get the names and contact information of anyone who saw your fall and all employees who you had contact with after the fall. They may be important witnesses later.

If you were injured in the fall, it is important to follow up with your medical care and learn more about your legal rights.
