Attorney Guy S. DiMartino

I have four passions in life: God, Family, Law and the Human Body. I meet my clients at the intersection of law and medicine.  One of the most stressful situations in life is loss, whether it's loss of life, health, family, work, or the ability to do the activities that you enjoy. For most people, it's even worse when they are put in this situation because another driver or property owner was careless and caused an accident or a doctor was in a hurry and committed malpractice.  The stress is compounded when the other person or insurance company does not want to take responsibility, tries to shift the blame, or makes light of the injuries or what the person is going through.

This is what I do.  I assist good people and their families who have been injured because of carelessness.  I focus my practice on tortious (negligent and careless) conduct, including car accidents, truck accidents, nursing home abuse, medical malpractice and prisoners' medical rights.

I am a 1986 graduate of the National College of Chiropractic and 1999 graduate of Valparaiso University School of Law.  I had active chiropractic practices in Crown Point and Hobart through 2003.  If you ask around, I may have treated one of your family members or friends. In 2003, I transitioned into full time law practice because I felt that I could use my abilities as a doctor and a lawyer to help individuals through difficult times.

I am licensed to practice in Indiana and Florida state and Federal Courts.  I am also board certified by the Florida Bar in civil trial law.*

When a person is seriously injured they are thrown into a maze of three competing systems: the law, health care and insurance.  I guide my clients through the maze and protect them during the process so at the end they receive the compensation they deserve.

In my spare time, you may find me at church, on the bike trail, at the health club or doing a headstand on my mat.  I look forward to serving the Northwest Indiana community in any way that I can, and I hope we do not have to meet by accident.

* The Indiana Bar does not recognize this certification.
